Park Cakes Chooses Kliklok — Again!

BRISTOL, UK — Kliklok Woodman is pleased to report that Park Cakes has just placed a repeat order for the supply of a Certiwrap 150 sleeving machine, to add to an identical Kliklok line installed at their Oldham, Lancashire plant last year.
Part of the Northern Foods Group, Park Cakes is the UK's leading supplier of own label cakes to the major retailers, producing a range of ambient, chilled and frozen foods. In order to increase production capacity, the company again chose the Kliklok Certiwrap machine to sleeve individual baked crumbles and cakes.
This servo-driven stainless steel sleeving machine, with patented rotary carton feeder, is built to handle a wide variety of items including ready-meal trays & tubs, either individually or in multi-packs, with special options to handle stacked products. The Certiwrap’s cantilevered system offers a unique open design, for high visibility & easy access to carton & product control assemblies.
This Certiwraps for Park Cakes were built to suit their specific requirement to collate incoming single products into groups of 2, using a special scroll infeed system, and sleeving at speeds of up to 150 carton wraps per minute.
The reliability & efficiency of their first Certiwrap line meant that Park Cakes was quickly able to decide on this repeat order. John Steward, Engineering Manager for Park Cakes confirms: “We had absolutely no hesitation in choosing Kliklok yet again, following the great success of the last installation. This new Certiwrap 150, being an exact repeat of the previous machine, will provide us with much higher production capacity, not to mention reliability and ease of operation”.
Kliklok Woodman look forward to installing this 2nd Certiwrap line in August, to provide additional productivity and efficiency for Park Cakes.
